[i]txrabbit: Year in Review Meme

Go to your Calendar and find the first entry for each month of 2009. Post the first line of it in your journal, and that's your "Year In Review."

January: Happy New Year!

February: I cannot remember the last time I've posted, so I thought I'd pop in to let you all know that I still spy on you regularly via live journal and I enjoy seeing what's going on in your lives.

March: Happy Birthday, Jeani!

April: I know that there are only about three people that even see when I post anymore, since I so rarely do so, but I was wondering if anyone else has dipped their toes into Merlin.

May: I am now at Dreamwidth.

June: I got overexcited when I saw that they were accepting drabbles to be posted at the beginning of the Snarry Games this summer.

July: I've avoided all spoilers for this series, very out of character, I know.

August: I've been reading at the Supernatural/J2 Big Bang, the Merlin Big Bang and the most recent round at the Snarry Games.

September: So I am now three weeks post-TIA.

October: You are The Sun

November: I joined up at An Archive of Our Own this morning, to see how I liked it.

December: This is a call for any Harry Potter Gen stories that you enjoy.

Huh. I was honestly surprised to find that I posted every month this year. Wow.

[i]txrabbit: Cookies!!

Thank you to the three wonderful ladies who gave me snowflake cookies. Y'all know who you are. They're almost as yummy as the chocolate peppermint martini that I'm sippin' right now.

[i]txrabbit: Early Christmas!

I received an early Christmas present yesterday!

Hubby gave me a gift certificate to my piercing place after I came home and mentioned to him that I saw a really cool piercing earlier in the day.

We went last night and I got a tragus piercing. I had considered getting one of these before, but really didn't want a ring hanging off the side of my head like they tend to do at that particular place, and wasn't sure how the ring would interact with my daith. Well, when I was out yesterday, I saw a girl with a tragus piercing that had a tiny barbell in it with a ball on both sides. I thought it was gorgeous, and being as small as it was, it wouldn't interfere with my daith.

So, I am now the proud owner a curved barbell tragus in my left ear with a clear crystal ball in front. The barbell is longer than I actually need, but we wanted to leave room for possible swelling. Once I'm healed, we'll replace it with a shorter one.

That hole #16, if you don't count the two failed navels.

I'm a happy girl!

[i]txrabbit: Help! Recs Needed!

This is a call for any Harry Potter Gen stories that you enjoy.

Everyone on my flist is aware of my grammar nazi-ist view of fiction. I want it well-written and enjoyable. I have my favorite slash authors, but my kids are wanting to read fanfiction and I need some good gen work.

I am not searching for het. Let me repeat that: I am NOT searching for het, but rather a good plot-driven story that is appropriate for my kiddo to read.

Please help!
